Welcome to Merchant Empires. Merchant Empires, also called "ME", is a browser based sci-fi strategy game.

The game is set in its own universe where the galaxies are crawling with different exotic races. It is up to the players to gain enough power and influence to win the game. The player base is mixed with ferocious killers and peaceful traders, it is up to you to survive in the carnage.

Merchant Empires is inspired by the commercial game called Space-Merchant which again was inspired from an old BBS game called Trade-Wars. The open-source version as it is now was started by Bryan Brunton on sourceforge.net as a part-time project.

It is now being hosted and developed futher by his own player base. Many developer sources and alliance sites are connected to the game and links can be seen in the end of this manual.
